Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lock a gas spring 1 by a cylinder part 1c of the gas spring 1 and a stopper part 2a of a gas spring stopper 2, and to prevent a rod part 1a of the gas spring 1 from being damaged by the stopper part 2a.SOLUTION: In a cover opening and closing and supporting mechanism having a gas spring having a supporting points at both ends and having and a cylinder part 1c and a rod part, a stopper part 2a arranged turnably by the supporting point of the one end part and locking the gas spring 1 by abutting on the cylinder part 1c when the gas spring 1 completely expands, and a gas spring stopper 2 having a limiter part 2b abutting on the cylinder part 1c before the stopper part 2a abuts on the rod part 1d, a releasing handle part 2c releasing the lock is arranged in a substantially opposite side of the stopper part 2a of the gas spring stopper 2, and the gas spring stopper 2 displaces to the substantially opposite side of the stopper part 2a by the releasing handle part 2c.
