BAG-MAKING AND PACKAGING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new bag-making and packaging machine capable of increasing bulk density of contents without generating cracks and chipping while maintaining high packaging capability than conventional apparatuses.SOLUTION: A bag-making and packaging machine is configured to house an article G in a bag formed at a tube lower end while forming a band-like packaging material in a tubular shape and to apply a lateral seal between the top and bottom of the bag B. A pressing member P entering a conveyance passage of the tube T is provided at a side surface of the tube T at a position immediately above the bag B. During a period from the storage of the article G into the bag B to the lateral seal of the bag B, the pressing member P instantaneously enters the conveyance passage, and the article G stored therein is floated while inflating the bag B in a horizontal direction.
