Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an azomethine-based dye for thermal transfer recording, which has a pyridine ring bonded with a 1H-pyrazolo [1,5-b][1,2,4] triazole ring via a nitrogen atom, is excellent in light resistance and hue, and also can be greatly reduced in production cost.SOLUTION: A dye for thermal transfer recording is composed of an azomethine compound expressed by formula (I). In the formula, Ris a phenyl group or naphthyl group, and Rand Rare each independently alkyl group having 2-4 carbon atoms. The phenyl group or naphthyl group may be substituted with an alkyl group or halogen.
