STROBE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strobe device capable of suppressing emission of light from a light source to areas outside a desired area.SOLUTION: A strobe device 1 comprises: a longitudinal light source 2; an optical member 3 disposed parallel to the light source 2; and a reflector 5 with a reflecting face 4 that is longitudinal in the longitudinal direction of the light source 2 and reflects light from the light source 2 toward the optical member 3. The strobe device 1 is designed such that the light source 2 and the reflecting face 3 are capable of being displaced relative to each other in the direction of an optical axis. The reflecting face 5 has a second reflecting face 8 located on the side of the optical member 3 rather than on the side of a specific reflection area 6 on the reflecting face 3 in which a light beam reflected toward the center of the optical member 3, among reflected light beams with the light source 2 located furthest apart from the reflecting face 5, intersects with the reflection surface 3. The second reflecting face 8 has a curvature center on the outside and curves so as to separate from the center of the optical axis as it reaches the optical member 3.
