PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device and an image formation device capable of adjusting image quality appropriately for each dither matrix pattern even for a configuration in which image processing is performed by using a plurality of dither matrix patterns.SOLUTION: An image formation device 1 stores a plurality of dither matrix patterns and performs gradation number reduction processing by using a dither matrix pattern selected according to the type of an input image. The image formation device 1 detects density by performing image formation using a main dither matrix pattern, and adjusts a corresponding correction table on the basis of a density detection result. Also, the image formation device 1 stores correlation information about the main dither matrix pattern and a sub dither matrix pattern in a correlation information storage unit 132, calculates density of the sub dither matrix pattern from the density detection result of the main dither matrix pattern and adjusts the correction table on the basis of the calculated density.
