Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous annealing furnace capable of effectively preventing a surface defect due to a refractory material made of alumina silica-based ceramic fiber used for a furnace wall of a heating furnace.SOLUTION: There is provided a continuous annealing furnace including a heating furnace using a refractory material made of ceramic fiber for a furnace wall. The continuous annealing furnace is characterized in that a refractory material made of ceramic fiber of 0.01 mass% or less in B content is employed for a furnace wall of a region where an in-furnace temperature of the heating furnace reaches 680°C or higher, preferably, for a furnace wall of a ceiling portion of the region where the in-furnace temperature of the heating furnace reaches 680°C or higher.
