PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking controller, a baking controlling method, a program, and a medium which can realize proper braking while avoiding rear-collision without inviting a cost increase.SOLUTION: A braking controller 1 includes a calculating means 2a which calculates a collision margin time based on the distance between a front object and a vehicle and the relative speed of the vehicle to the front object, a braking means 2b which performs braking based on the collision margin time, a waning means 2c which issues a warning to the rear of the vehicle before the braking, based on the collision margin time, and a canceling means 2d which cancels the braking when a driving continuing intention judgment of making a total judgment including a judgment on whether an acceleration operation is performed during a warning continuation time from the issue of the warning to the braking is an affirmative judgment and a switch operation history judgment of judging whether any one of a group of switches operable from a driver's seat is operated prior to a given time before the acceleration operation is an affirmative judgment.
