Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a short fiber reinforced flexible rubber member that can be reinforced by orienting short fibers if wide and long, also can assure required flexibility, and is easy to manufacture, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A tape-like rubber material 14 on which reinforcing short fibers 12 are oriented in a longitudinal direction is structured by intersecting with a longitudinal direction of a flexible rubber member 10, folding at both ends and laminating. Using the tape-like rubber material 14, the reinforcing short fibers 12 can be easily oriented in the longitudinal direction, and by intersecting the tape-like rubber material 14 with the longitudinal direction of the flexible rubber member 10, folding at both ends and laminating, the wide flexible rubber member 10 can be continuously formed to be long. Thus, a short fiber reinforced flexible rubber member which is wide and in which the short fibers are oriented for reinforcement in the direction intersecting with the longitudinal direction is simply obtained.
