Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printing device capable of suppressing waste pages generated during recovery operation after occurrence of an overheating error, and a method of detecting the overheating error in the ink jet printing device.SOLUTION: When an event that cannot avoid overheating of a driving circuit occurs, before a driving circuit reaches a limit temperature on the basis of a temperature prediction, printing is stopped at a page terminal. This suppresses generation of waste printing paper caused by stopping of the printing in the middle of a page, and an overheating error is detected.
