Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, which has high discharge capacity and excellent heat resistance.SOLUTION: The cathode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery contains a component (A): a spinel type lithium manganese oxide, and a component (B): a cathode active material other than the component (A). Preferably, the mass ratio of the component (A) to the component (B) is 2/8 to 8/2, and the component (B) is one or more selected from a molybdenum oxide, a lithium iron phosphate compound, a lithium cobalt oxide, a lithium nickel oxide, and a vanadium oxide.
