PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device capable of adjusting electric resistance of a transfer roller.SOLUTION: A transfer device includes: a transfer roller (36) that has characteristics in which electric resistance varies depending on a rotation speed, contacts a body for transfer (34) that moves in synchronization with movement of an image holding body (18) that holds a toner image, and transfers the toner image held by the image holding body (18) to the body for transfer (34) by applying transfer voltage to the body for transfer (34); and adjustment means (39) for adjusting the rotation speed of the transfer roller (36) independent of the movement of the image holding body (18) and the body for transfer (34).
