PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which can be improved in convenience and configured with a favorable appearance.SOLUTION: A projector 2U comprises: a projector body 20U projecting image light through a projection port 221A formed on an outer body 22; an optical element 23U making the image light projected through the projection port 221A penetrate; and an element holding tool 24U holding the optical element 23U and detachably attached on the outer body 22. The element holding tool 24U includes a first holding member 25 covering the periphery of the projection port 221A of a front part 221 in a state where the element holding tool 24U is attached on the outer body 22, and a second holding member 26 provided on the upstream side of an optical path of the image light with respect to the first holding member 25 and holding the element holding tool 24U between the first holding member 25 and itself. An attachment part 263 for attaching the element holding tool 24U to the outer body 22 is provided in the second holding member 26.
