Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately determine the presence/absence of abnormality of a thermostat, while restraining a cost increase.SOLUTION: An ECU executes a program including a step (S100) of estimating simulation water temperature Ts, a step (S118) of determining that the thermostat is in an abnormal state when a state where an absolute value of a variation Twout of outlet temperature Twout is smaller than Tw(0) (YES in S106) and the outlet temperature Twout is smaller than a threshold value Tw(1) (No in S108), continues until a predetermined time has elapsed (YES in S116), and a step (S110) of determining that the thermostat is in a normal state when the outlet temperature Twout becomes the threshold value Tw(1) or more before the simulation water temperature Ts (YES in S108) after the absolute value of the variation Twout becomes smaller than the Tw(0).
