NEUTRALIZING APPARATUS AND WATER HEATER INCLUDING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutralizing apparatus suppressing unevenness of remaining amount of a neutralizing agent after used for a long time in the neutralizing apparatus in which a meandering neutralizing flow passage having drain flowing from an upper side to a lower side while meandering in right and left directions is formed, and a water heater including the neutralizing apparatus.SOLUTION: A neutralizing apparatus 27 neutralizes drain by making the drain flow in a neutralizing part 43 filled with a neutralizing agent 53. Inside of the neutralizing part 43 is partitioned into a plurality of regions s1, s2, s3 by a plurality of partition walls 54, 55 installed within the neutralizing part 43, and communication parts 56, 57 communicating the regions s1, s2, s3 which located adjacent to each other on tip sides of the partition walls 54, 55 with each other are formed alternately so as to form a meandering neutralizing flow passage 58 in which the drain flows from an upper side to a lower side while meandering in right and left directions. A volume of the region s1 on the upstream side in a flowing direction of the drain out of the regions s1, s2 adjacent to each other is set larger than a volume of the region s2 on the downstream side in the flowing direction of the drain.
