PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an air filter for an air conditioner that has excellent shape retention by an easy structure; and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: An air filter 1 for an air conditioner includes: a filter material 2 that collects dust or the like in air; and an outer frame material 3 that retains an outer peripheral part thereof, wherein the outer frame material 3 is provided with a partition part 4 at a central part in the longitudinal direction, a first outer frame body 5 and a second outer frame body 6 are disposed to both sides of the partition part 4 while the partition part 4 is sandwiched, a peripheral wall 8 to which an outer peripheral surface of the filter material 2 is connected is disposed at the first and second outer frame bodies 5 and 6, a pair of peripheral walls 8 and 8 to which an outer peripheral surface of the filter material 2 is connected is disposed at the partition part 4 opposing together, and a connection part 10 that integrally couples parts of the peripheral walls 8 and 8 is disposed.
