CARD UNIT AND CARD EDGE CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card unit and a card edge connector which have drip-proofness and dust-proofness.SOLUTION: A card unit 11 includes: a substrate 19 having a card edge part 21 where multiple card edge terminals 20 connected with a mating connector are formed on at least one surface; and a case 12 that includes a housing part 15 housing the substrate 19 and is formed by a box shaped body with a closed bottom where an opening 13 is provided at one side. A retainer 23 is attached to the case 12 so as to close the opening 13. The retainer 23 includes an opening 24 located at one side and a closed part 25 disposed in the case 12 and located at the other side and is formed by a box shaped body having a trunk part 26 formed so as to be shorter than a length of the case 12. A groove 25a, in which the card edge part 21 protrudes, is formed in the closed part 25. The card edge part 21 is covered by the trunk part 26 of the retainer 23.
