PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, if a washing means of wash water is only used, a wash interval is increased since the wash water has to be supplied, adhesion of oil stain or dust is firmly fixed in a long period of time, and thereby it cannot be sufficiently removed when washed.SOLUTION: A range hood has a suction port 2 and a discharge port 3, and includes an exhaust fan motor 4 provided in an airflow path connecting between the suction port 2 and the discharge port 3; a filter 5 disposed between the suction port 2 and the exhaust fan motor 4; a water storage tank 7 that stores wash water for washing the filter 5; a spray means 9 for washing the filter 5 by spraying the wash water in the water storage tank 7 or air to the filter; a water supply pump 10 for moving the wash water in the water storage tank 7 to the spray means 9; a ventilation means 11 for sending air to the filter 5 from the spray means 9; and a drain tank 12 for recovering the wash water. The filter 5 is washed by a combination of water pressure spray by the water supply pump 10 and wind pressure by the ventilation means 11.
