Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which at least one of α-acyloxy acrylic acid and an ester thereof is produced in high efficiency without being exposed to a reaction heat for a long time and then the heat is promptly removed.SOLUTION: A method includes producing at least one of α-acyloxy acrylic acid and an α-acyloxy acrylic acid ester from at least one of pyruvic acid and a pyruvic acid ester and an acylating agent in the presence of a reaction promoter in a flow channel having a corresponding diameter of 1 μm to 10 mm. Preferably the reaction promoter is at least one of a polyacid and p-toluenesulfonic acid.
