Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection screen capable of obtaining clear projection images without generating hot spot owing to a sufficient light diffusion reflectivity even when a high luminance projector is used, and to provide a whiteboard device using the same ensuring sufficient erasing feature using an eraser.SOLUTION: A projection surface has an exposed surface of a coating layer formed on the surface of a base member. The base member has a rough surface formed with irregularities with plural particles of titanium oxide in the boundary of the coating layer and the base member. In the particles of the titanium oxide: the mean particle diameter is 0.1-0.5 μm; and content is 3-20wt%. With this, a sufficient light diffusion reflectivity is obtained at the surface of the base member. Thus, the glossiness on the projection surface (entire glossiness) is reduced and clear projection images are obtained without generating any hot spot even when a high luminance projector is used.
