PROJECTION SCREEN AND WHITEBOARD DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection screen capable of obtaining clear projection images without generating any hot spot owing to a sufficient light diffusion reflectivity even when a high luminance projector is used and to provide a whiteboard device using the same allowing writing and erasing using a marker on a projection surface.SOLUTION: The projection screen comprises: a base member; and a coating layer formed on the surface of the base member having an exposed surface at the side opposite to the surface contacting with the base member, the coating layer having irregularities. The base member has a contact surface contacted with the coating layer. In the contact surface, a rough surface roughly formed with irregularities is formed. In the irregularities on the rough surface, the arithmetic mean roughness Ra is within a range of 0.3≤Ra≤1.5; and a value Sm/Ra obtained by dividing a mean peak interval Sm by the arithmetic mean roughness Ra is within a range of 10≤Sm/Ra≤100. With this, the light diffusion reflectivity is further enhanced.
