Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid deterioration in exhaust property by precisely predicting NOx desorption quantity in a NOx trap catalyst during rich spike control and appropriately controlling the supply quantity of a reducing agent used for desorption of NOx.SOLUTION: During a period of time when a reducing agent dominates the desorption of NOx and a NOx desorption rate (NOx desorption quantity) is substantially fixed immediately after rich spike control, exhaust λ is fixed at a predetermined value and supply of the reduction agent is controlled. During the following time period when adsorption/desorption of NOx is dominated according to Langmuir adsorption equation and the NOx desorption rate is reduced, the exhaust λ is made variable according to the NOx desorption rate and supply of the reduction agent is controlled. |
