Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock device for a gate door of which the operability is improved, such that the gate door can be engaged/disengaged with respect to a support post through one action together with a gate door opening operation, and a gate door.SOLUTION: At a closing end side of a gate door 2, a lock mechanism 11 which is engaged to and disengaged from a striker 10 of a support post 9 and a handle 12 for opening/closing operation of a gate door 2 are provided. In the handle 12, an unlock trigger 13 is provided which unlocks the lock mechanism 11. The unlock trigger 13 is configured to be pushed in between a normal attitude of protruding from an outer face of a handle case 23 and an unlock attitude of being pushed into the handle case 23 from the normal attitude to unlock the lock mechanism 11. A direction of pushing in the unlock trigger 13 from the normal attitude to the unlock attitude is then matched with an opening direction of the gate door 2.
