PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode used for a lamination lithium ion secondary battery and containing a linear active material part having a three-dimensional uneven structure, in which the inter-electrode distance has no variation, and the capacity and high speed charge-discharge characteristics are not impaired.SOLUTION: The electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery includes a collector having a first surface and a second surface parallel with each other, a plurality of first convex linear active material parts provided on the first surface substantially in parallel with each other, and a plurality of second convex linear active material parts provided on the second surface substantially in parallel with each other. When viewed (projected) from a direction substantially perpendicular to the first and second surfaces, the first convex linear active material parts and the second convex linear active material parts are provided in an intersecting positional relationship.
