CHASSIS FOR LIGHTING DEVICE HAVING LID BODY FIXED BY PRESSING AND LID BODY FIXING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chassis for a lighting device capable of being easily assembled without the use of screws, and realizing a desired sealing structure with a lid body stably fixed.SOLUTION: A chassis for a lighting device includes: a lid body having bent piece parts bent inward, respectively at both side faces extended downward from a top-face part with a window hole; a case with an opening above, and including contact face parts contacted and pressed by the bent piece parts between each of side faces and a bottom face, or at either side face, and a sealing material for sealing a space between a translucent plate transmitting light from a light source and a surrounding part of the opening in the case. Here, a positional range of a part pressing the contact face parts in a chassis length direction at the bent piece parts contains a positional range of the opening in a chassis length direction. As a result, the lid body is fixed to the case so that the bent piece parts fitted to the case with elasticity and the contact face parts fitted to the case exert nearly uniform pressing force to each other over the whole chassis length direction.
