METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POLARIZING PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively manufacturing a polarizing plate while suppressing a bubble defect in an adhesive layer in a process of laminating an optical film on a polarizing film with an adhesive.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a polarizing plate 4 comprises laminating an optical film 2 on a polarizing film 1 with an adhesive, and the method includes the following steps (A) to (D): (A) a step of applying the adhesive on the optical film 2 by use of a coating machine 10 having means for regulating a coating thickness of the adhesive; (B) a step of measuring a film thickness before and after the application step by using a radiation film thickness meter to obtain the thickness of the applied adhesive from a difference between the film thicknesses before and after the application in an in-line system; (D) a step of overlapping a polarizing film 1 to the adhesive surface of the optical film 2 and pressurizing the films with nip rolls 20, 21; and (D) a step of controlling the means for regulating the coating thickness when a measured thickness X of the obtained adhesive differs by 5% or more from a set thickness Y.
