Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a highly accurate position detection device.SOLUTION: The position detection device according to an embodiment comprises: a sensor part that outputs two phase signals; a conversion part that converts the two phase signals into digital two phase signals; a phase correction amount calculation part that calculates a correction amount for correcting a phase error between the digital two phase signals; a phase correction part that corrects a correction signal and outputs a corrected correction signal as a post-corrected signal; and a position calculation part that performs an inverse tangent calculation to the post-corrected signal to calculate a detection position. The phase correction amount calculation part is configured to include: reference signal calculation means; means that calculates a difference signal between the post-corrected signal and the reference signal; multiplication means that calculates a product of orthogonal components of the reference signal and the difference signal as an error signal; correction input calculation means that calculates a correction input in which a code matches with respect to an error resulting from deduction of the correction amount from the phase error on the basis of the error signal and a maximum amplitude monotonously increases; and integration means that integrates the correction input.
