Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a cast iron pipe applied with coating on a socket inner face of a tubular body using a water-based paint excellent in adhesion to powder coating applied to a straight tube portion of the tubular body without using a solvent; and a method of coating the cast iron pipe.SOLUTION: A cast iron pipe includes a socket on one end and an insertion port on the other end with a pipe portion therebetween. A coating layer is provided on a socket inner surface. The coating layer includes a coating film provided on the upper surface of the socket inner surface and formed by applying coating with an aqueous paint made of, as solid contents, (A) 1-15 pts.wt. of epoxy ester, (B) 5-30 pts.wt. of acrylic resin emulsion, and (C) 55-94 pts.wt. of acrylic resin dispersion, and containing (D) pigment having pigment volumetric concentration of 35-45%.
