Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drawer device and a medium transaction apparatus both of which can improve reliability remarkably.SOLUTION: A bank bill depositing/withdrawing machine 10 detects whether or not a lower unit 28 is drawn from a safe housing 26, via an interlock switch 38. A lock sensor 80 detects at least two states from among three states: a locked state; a half-locked state; and a drawn state. Based on a detection result obtained by an interlock switch 38 and a detection result obtained by a lock sensor 80, a banknote control section 11 distinguishes the three states, locked state, half-locked state, and drawn state.
