Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new ultraviolet-absorbing particles including a portion having an ultraviolet-absorbing performance derived from a hydroxycinnamic acid and to provide a simple method of producing the same.SOLUTION: This invention relates to polymer particles having ultraviolet absorbability and comprising a copolymer of: a hydroxycinnamic acid derivative having at least one polymerizable functional group; and a crosslinkable monomer having at least two polymerizable functional groups different from the hydroxycinnamic acid derivative.
