MULTIPROCESSOR SYSTEM AND POWER CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption while suppressing performance deterioration.SOLUTION: A common memory includes: a thread pool in which a thread having waiting events is so registered as to be associated with the number of the waiting events; and a thread queue in which a thread having no waiting event is registered. A first processor acquires a first thread from the thread queue so as to execute it. A second processor updates, on the basis of execution state of the first thread, the number of waiting events registered in the thread pool, and when the number of waiting events reaches the zero value, registers the second thread in the thread queue. A third processor stops/restarts, on the basis of the number of threads registered in the thread queue and the number of threads having waiting events of a prescribed number or more registered in the thread pool, power supply to the first processor in accordance with each case.
