Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of display quality resulting from displacement in bonding first and second substrates.SOLUTION: A plurality of display units each including at least a first eye point pixel and a second eye point pixel are arranged in first and second directions. Each pixel is composed of an optical element sandwiched between first and second substrates. Light made incident on a pixel passes through a first opening on the first substrate and through the optical element, is emitted from a second opening on the second substrate, and is split in different directions by optical path splitting means installed on the second substrate. With the first and second substrates bonded together with no displacement between them, one end of a light shield area interposed between the first and second eye point pixels in the first direction is prescribed by the first opening, and the other end is prescribed by the second opening.
