FIXING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress wraparound of a recording material to an edge portion of an endless belt member in the width direction.SOLUTION: A fixing device includes: a rotatable fixing roll 21 that is heated by heating means; a rotatable pressure belt 22 having an endless belt-like form and disposed in contact with the fixing roll 21; and a pressure pad disposed on an internal circumference of the pressure belt 22 and pressing the fixing roll 21 via the pressure belt 22 to form a nip portion between the fixing roll 21 and the pressure belt 22. Further, the pressure belt 22 is disposed so that a curvature, when viewing a cross-sectional form produced by cutting the pressure belt in a round, at an end portion of the pressure belt 22 in the width direction is larger than a curvature at a center portion of the pressure belt 22 in the width direction at an exit zone where the recording material exit the nip portion.
