Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a normally-black type TN liquid crystal display in which, when watched obliquely from a 6-o'clock orientation and a 12 o'clock orientation, a contrast is improved, and thus display quality is improved.SOLUTION: In a normally-black type TN liquid crystal display, an angle between an absorption axis of one of polarizers and an orientation direction of an adjacent substrate is larger than 0° and equal to or less than 9° relative to a twist direction of a liquid crystal layer, and an angle between an absorption axis of the other of the polarizers and a direction orthogonal to an orientation direction of an adjacent substrate is larger than 0° and equal to or less than 9° relative to a direction opposite to the twist direction.
