OPTICAL FIBER CONNECTOR FOR GAME MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connector for game machine that effectively prevents illegal acts such as abstraction and alteration of an optical signal by disabling an optical fiber to be reconnected to the optical fiber connector for game machine.SOLUTION: An optical transmission and reception unit 11 which receives a plug terminal 21 of an optical fiber cable 20 includes an optical fiber insertion hole 12 into which the optical fiber cable 20 is inserted, a shielding pin movement hole 13 which crosses the optical fiber insertion hole 12, a shielding pin 31 which can move in the shielding pin movement hole 13, and energizing means 35 of making elastic force always act on the shielding pin 31. At an insertion position where the optical fiber cable 20 is inserted into the optical fiber insertion hole 12, the elastic force by the energizing means 35 acts to press the shielding pin 31 against the plug terminal 21 from sideways. When the optical fiber cable 20 is extracted from the optical transmission and reception unit 11, the shielding pin 31 is moved by the energizing means 35 to optically and mechanically shield the optical fiber insertion hole 12.
