Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily provide a color display element at low cost by using a scheme of a conventional monochrome electronic paper without reducing brightness.SOLUTION: There is provided an ultraviolet curable ink absorbing layer for a color filter serving as an absorbing layer for coloring inks that is used for obtaining a color filter on which coloring inks of a plurality of colors discharged by an inkjet scheme form a coloring region so that adjacent coloring inks of different colors are not mixed. The ultraviolet curable ink absorbing layer for a color filter is cured by ultraviolet rays after the coloring inks are received by a transparent resin film composed of a transparent resin composition containing an ultraviolet curable component and a dissolved transparent resin. Further, there is provided a method for manufacturing a color filter, including the steps of: forming the transparent resin film composed of the transparent resin composition; discharging the coloring inks of the plurality of colors on the transparent resin film by the inkjet scheme and drying the inks; and irradiating the transparent resin film with ultraviolet rays to cure it, thereby forming a coloring region.
