Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame detector capable of detecting a failure of visible light non-detection function of a light emission detection part.SOLUTION: The flame detector comprises: a light emission detection part 4 which outputs information signal when detecting light of a predetermined first wavelength from received light; a shutter member 20 which moves to the front side of the light emission detection part 4 and blocks light from entering the light emission detection part 4; and a failure determination part 12 which determines that the light emission detection part 4 is defective when receiving information signal input outputted from the light emission detection part 4 with the shutter member 20 blocking light. The shutter member 20 is formed of a material through which light of the first wavelength does not transmit and light of a second wavelength longer than the first wavelength among the light transmits.
