Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit automatic engine stop even if a vehicle does not travel at a predetermined speed or more when an engine stop intention can be read, while controlling the automatic engine stop unless the vehicle travels at the predetermined speed or more after restarting the engine.SOLUTION: An engine 1 automatically stops when automatic stop conditions are met including at least the following requirements: the vehicle is standing still, and a brake pedal of the vehicle is depressed. The engine 1 also restarts when restart conditions are met including at least the following requirement: a depression amount of the brake pedal becomes equal to or less than an automatic stop release depression amount after the automatic stop. When a vehicle speed reaches or exceeds a predetermined vehicle speed after the restart, whether the automatic stop conditions are met is determined, and the engine 1 automatically stops if the automatic stop conditions are met. When the vehicle speed does not exceed the predetermined vehicle speed after the restart, the engine 1 automatically stops if a physical quantity related to braking force reaches or exceeds a predetermined value when the brake pedal is depressed. |
