REINFORCEMENT STRUCTURE AND REINFORCEMENT METHOD FOR EXISTING STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue reinforcement of an existing structure for a long period.SOLUTION: There is provided a reinforcement structure 1 for an existing structure supported by a plurality of columns 41, the reinforcement structure including load transfer means 1a of receiving the load from the structure on a plane and transferring the load directly or indirectly to the columns 41. The existing structure 1 is an existing bridge 1 including a floor slab 32 and the plurality of columns 41 supporting the floor slab 32, and is provided with the load transfer means 1a between the floor slab 32 and the columns 41. The load transfer means 1a includes an arch member 2 receiving the load from the floor slab 32 on a plane, and a receiving member 20 which supports the arch member 2 and transfers the load that the arch member 2 receives to the columns 41. The load transfer means 1a can receive the load from the existing structure on the plane, so that no peeling occurs and the existing structure can continue to be reinforced in a maintenance-free state for a long period.
