PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of preventing an extension pipe or the like from being unintentionally detached when an engagement releasing button is brought into contact with an obstacle while cleaning or moving.SOLUTION: A plurality of pipes are respectively connected to a vacuum cleaner to make channels of dust sucked from a cleaning surface. Each pipe has a clamping button 7 as a releasing means for releasing the connected state of the respective pipes, and the clamping button is located inward from a contour line formed of a cover 9 with members provided in the pipe. With this structure, the clamping button 7 can be prevented from colliding with an obstacle such as a post. As unintentional operation of the clamping button 7 can be prevented in this way, unintentional removal of a connected pipe such as an extension pipe can be prevented, and the safety can be improved.
