Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus capable of structuring an inter-vehicle communication system which is capable of increasing opportunities of reception without increasing number of transmission, and facilitating reception of own vehicle information at receiver apparatuses as many as possible.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle device 1 includes a transmission part 10 for transmitting own vehicle information to other on-vehicle devices, a reception part 20 for receiving other vehicle information, and a communication control part 30 for executing a transmission control process which makes the transmission part 10 transmit own vehicle information. The transmission part 10 includes a first layer modulation part 11 for modulating a code string by setting a quadrant in which a signal point is allocated, within a plurality of quadrants, a second layer modulation part 12 for modulating a code string by setting a signal point within the quadrant, and an adding part 14 for combining each modulated symbol. The transmission control process makes the first layer modulation part 11 modulate a code string representing own vehicle information, and makes the second layer modulation part 12 modulate a code string representing other vehicle information. The transmission part 10 transmits a radio signal modulated with the layered modulation as above.
