PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device using a fixing belt, in which a warming-up time is shortened, and besides, occurrence of fixing failure is suppressed in an image forming operation after completion of warming-up.SOLUTION: A fixing device includes: a belt temperature detection sensor 176 for detecting a temperature of a fixing belt; a roller temperature detection sensor 178 for detecting a temperature of a pressure roller; and a correction table 120a in which correction temperature values for correcting a temperature at the time of fixation are stored. The fixing device further includes a control part 101 that causes a rotary speed of the fixing belt at the time of warming-up to be slower than a rotary speed at the time of fixation, calculates, when the temperature of the fixing belt reaches a fixture temperature, a difference between the temperature of the fixing belt detected by the belt temperature detection sensor 176 and the temperature the pressure roller detected by the roller temperature detection sensor 178 so as to acquire the correction temperature value based on the calculated difference from the correction table 120a, and controls the temperature of the fixing belt on the basis of the correction temperature value while controlling a halogen heater 177.
