Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable gas stove safety device which is attachable to an existing gas stove and appropriately determines that a human body or clothes come near burner flames.SOLUTION: A gas stove safety device 1 is attachable to a gas stove 50 provided with a burner, and has a flame detection means 20 for detecting the amount of flames of a monitor target burner (51C), alarm means 43 and 44, and a control means (40) in which the flame detection means 20 is attached to an upper position of the gas stove with facing toward the gas stove and detects the amount of flames generated in a detection area A1 including the monitor target burner, and if an object including a human body or clothes comes near the monitor target burner based on a detection signal from the flame detection means 20, the control means issues an alarm using the alarm means.
