WHEEL BEARING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device that can prevent foreign materials from falling directly on a sliding contact part of a lip, discharges the foreign materials entering around the sliding contact part easily to the outside of a bearing and can improve sealing performance.SOLUTION: In a wheel bearing device: an outer wheel 2 and an inner shaft 3 are provided; a flange 3c protruding toward the radially outward direction at an end part of the inner shaft is formed; and a sealing device 7 fitted to the flange side of the outer wheel and sealing the bearing inner space 6 between the outer wheel and an inner wheel is provided. Further, in the sealing device, at a hub unit 1 having a lip 72d, the inner shaft has a ring shaped sliding contact part 3f with which the lip 72 comes sliding contact; the outer wheel has a protrusion 2d disposed at a part in a circumference direction, protruding to the flange side; an overlapped part 9a in which the protruded part 2d and a sliding contact part 3f are overlapped in the radial direction, and non overlapped part 9b, not overlapped, are formed; in a state mounted in the vehicle, an overlapped part 9a which continues in the circumference direction is formed at a part upper or the equal level of the axial line 01; and a non overlapped part 9b is formed at a part lower than the level of the axial line 01.
