Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine starting electric motor device capable of restarting an engine reliably and quickly by using a conventional magnetic switch structure for a starting electric motor which implements a pinion 7 pushing out means and a contact opening and closing means to the electric motor by means of a pair of movable cores 15 and a stationary core 16, and supplying electricity to the starting electric motor immediately after the pinion 7 securely engages with a ring gear 8 of the engine during engine inertia rotation after turning off the vehicle engine when stopped.SOLUTION: An engine starting electric motor device includes a control means which controls the supply of electricity to a first electromagnetic coil 17 and a second electromagnetic coil 18, and is characterized in that, when the engine is restarted during engine inertia rotation after turning off the vehicle engine when stopped, the engine is restarted by supplying electricity only to the first electromagnetic coil 17.
