Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide forceps for grasping a surgical suture needle that facilitates suture work.SOLUTION: Forceps include: a gripper 10 being a part held by a user; a cylindrical arm proximal end 30 extending linearly from the gripper 10; a cylindrical arm distal end 40 connected to the arm proximal end 30 with it forming a prescribed angle therewith; a dial operation part 50 positioned at an outer peripheral side of the arm proximal end 30 and performing a rotating operation and a front/rear moving operation; a needle retaining part 60 positioned at the distal end of the arm distal end 40 for grasping a suture needle; a rotating mechanism 70 rotating the needle retaining part 60 by the rotating operation of the dial operation part 50, about the axis of the arm distal end 40; and an opening/closing mechanism 80 opening/closing the needle retaining part by the front/rear moving operation of the dial operation part 50.
