PERMANENT MAGNET TYPE MOTOR AND ROTOR THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor which can alleviate stress acting on split cores in a circumferential direction due to the expansion of permanent magnets with a simple structure, and a permanent magnet type motor having the same.SOLUTION: A rotor 14 comprises: a rotor core 30 including a plurality of split cores 34; and permanent magnets 24 disposed in holes 22 formed in the split cores 34. The permanent magnet 24 includes a chamfered portion 38 arranged on an inner side thereof in a radial direction r, and formed so that a thickness thereof in the radial direction r is thinned from a center portion in a circumferential direction toward one end side in the circumferential direction . The hole 22 includes: a contact portion 40 in contact with the chamfered portion 38; and an end portion 42 formed so as to be connected with the contact portion 40, and facing a side end in the circumferential direction of the permanent magnet 24 connected with the chamfered portion 38 so as to be spaced from the side end. The structure including the chamfered portion 38 and the contact portion 40 allows stress acting on the split cores 34 from the permanent magnets 24 to be transformed from the circumferential direction to another direction.
