HEATING COOKER AND POWER CONTROL SYSTEM FOR HOME APPLIANCES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that can control total domestic power in order to avoid reduction of cooking performance or cooking workability and allow a user to reduce total domestic power consumption readily, when using a heating cooker along with other electrical equipment in a kitchen at the same time.SOLUTION: In a system where a heating cooker, such as an induction heating cooker or a rice cooker, and home appliances, such as air conditioners, are provided with power via a breaker, and power consumption of these home appliances are controlled by a power control device, an energization control circuit in one of the home appliances is electrically connected to the power control device after the main power has been turned on, and activates a first indicator to indicate that the appliance is a subject which is to possibly receive a power reduction request signal and, if the power reduction request signal has been received from the power control device during operation, then activates a second indicator to indicate that fact. The fact that the appliance is in a power reduction mode or power supply priority mode is also indicated.
