DEVELOPING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unevenness of toner amount adhered to the surface of a sleeve provided in a developing roll after toner is transferred to a latent image on a photoreceptor drum and development is performed and to suppress image unevenness in subsequent development.SOLUTION: An electrode member 31 is disposed to face a second sleeve 24b on an upstream side of a reception position for receiving developer from a first sleeve 23b on a downstream side of a developing position of a second developing roll 24 without a layer regulating member 29. DC voltage is applied to the electrode member 31 and an electric field is formed between the electrode member 31 and a second developing roll on which DC voltage and AC voltage are superposed and applied. Unevenness is generated in toner amount or external additive amount adhered to the surface of the second sleeve 24b passing image portions and non-image portions of a photoreceptor drum, but the unevenness of the adhered toner amount or external additive amount is reduced by an action of the electric field at a position opposite to the electrode member 31.
