METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING INDOLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for manufacturing indole derivatives.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an indole derivative expressed by formula (3) includes reacting an indole expressed by formula (1), a carbonyl compound expressed by (2) and a nucleophilic donor. In the formulas, Ris a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group, an aryl group, a heteroaryl group, an arylalkyl group, an alkylaryl group, or a trialkylsilyl group; Ris an aliphatic group, an aryl group, a heteroaryl group, an arylalkyl group, an alkylaryl group or a trialkylsilyl group; Ris a monovalent group except a hydrogen atom; Rand Rmay each independently be a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl group optionally having a substituent, an aryl group or a heteroaryl group which may be bonded to each other to form a ring; X is a monovalent group derived from nucleophilic species; l is 0 or 1; m is an integer of 0-4; and when m is 2-4, a plurality of R's are mutually the same as or different from each other.
