Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a magnetic particle for water treatment in which a removal target substance in water is adsorbed, and an adsorbate is separated, and that is recovered and can be repeatedly recycled; and a water treatment method using the same.SOLUTION: A magnetic particle for water treatment that adsorbs a water-insoluble material in treated water, precipitates with the water-insoluble material, is separated from the water-insoluble material in a precipitate, recovered and is used repeatedly, includes: a magnetic core part that comprises a magnetic single particle or an aggregate of the same in which a specific gravity is larger than 1; and a surface layer that is supported by the magnetic core part and contains a proton donor that emits a proton (H) in the treated water and takes charge in a negative potential.
